Ordering & quotes

Enquiry, quotation, minimum, payment

Send an enquiry from any belt page, the catalogue or the Contact page. Add the belt designation, width and length, or simply tell us what the conveyor carries and we will choose the belt for you.

The enquiry comes straight to the factory. We reply with a written quotation and datasheets, usually the same working day.

The belt width, the length (or the pulley centres if you need us to work it out), the material carried, its temperature and lump size, and the capacity in tonnes per hour. If you are replacing a belt, a photo of the old belt's printed marking helps a lot.

Not sure about some of it? Send what you know. Our engineers fill the gaps and check the selection.

Send the length you need for your conveyor. If a build needs a minimum run, for example a special compound or a width outside the regular range, the quotation says so up front.

Mostly the rubber and fabric in it: the cover grade, the cover thicknesses, the fabric type, the rating and number of plies, and the width. A thicker top cover or a heat or fire resistant compound costs more, and also lasts longer on the right duty. We quote the belt that suits the job, not the most expensive one.

Both depend on the belt, the quantity and the order book at the time, so every quotation states its dispatch date and payment terms in writing. Belts in the regular range move fastest. Tell us if you have a shutdown date and we will plan to it.

Yes. The catalogue lists the standard builds, but we also make other widths, cover thicknesses, ratings and compounds to order. Send the duty or the specification you have and we will confirm what we can build.

Choosing a belt

Grade, fabric, rating, covers

Start from the material. General materials such as coal, sand, grain and aggregate run on general purpose (Y, IS N17). Sharp, heavy or very abrasive material such as ore, granite and slag needs high abrasion (X, IS M24) or super abrasion (W).

Hot material needs a heat resistant grade (T1 up to 100°C, T2 up to 125°C, T3 up to 150°C). Oily material needs oil resistant (G). Underground and fire risk areas need fire resistant antistatic (FR). Food contact needs food grade (FG).

The letters name the fibre in the warp (along the belt) and the weft (across it). EP is polyester warp with nylon weft, the most common choice: low stretch along the belt and flexible across it, so it troughs well.

EE is polyester both ways, stiffer across, for long or flat conveyors and wet duties. NN is nylon both ways: it stretches more, takes impact well and suits short conveyors with heavy loading.

It is the breaking strength of one metre of belt width. A 630 kN/m belt holds 630 N for every millimetre of its width.

The rating comes from the running tension of your conveyor, multiplied by a safety factor (usually 8 to 10) for splices, starting and ageing. Our tension tool works it out from length, lift and capacity.

The top cover carries the wear, so it grows with how abrasive the material is, how big the lumps are, how far they fall at loading and how often the belt passes the loading point. Light duties run on 3+1.5 mm, general mining and quarrying on 5+2 or 6+2 mm, and heavy lumps or hot clinker on 8+3 mm or more. The bottom cover only meets the pulleys and idlers, so it stays thin.

Yes. Send a photo of the marking printed on the old belt, or its width, total thickness and number of plies (count the fabric layers at a cut edge). If the old belt wore out early or tore, tell us how, and we will suggest a build that lasts longer.

Sizes & construction

Width, length, plies, designation

EP is the fabric. 630 is the rating in kN/m. 4 is the number of fabric plies. 6+2 is the top and bottom cover thickness in mm. X is the cover grade. So this is a four ply polyester-nylon belt, 630 kN/m strong, with a 6 mm top and 2 mm bottom cover in high abrasion rubber.

Regular widths are 300, 400, 500, 600, 650, 800, 1000 and 1200 mm, with 1400 and 1600 mm on order. Ratings run from 200 to 800 kN/m in the regular range, and 1000 and 1250 kN/m on order, in two to six plies.

Measure the centre distance between the head and tail pulleys and both pulley diameters, with the take-up at its shortest. Our length tool gives the open belt length and adds the extra needed for a hot vulcanised splice. Mechanical fasteners need no splice allowance.

Not by itself. Strength is the rating in kN/m. A 630/3 and a 630/4 are equally strong. The four ply belt is thicker and stiffer and takes impact and fasteners better, while the three ply belt is lighter and bends round smaller pulleys. The pulley sizes on your conveyor often decide it.

Every datasheet gives the belt weight per square metre and its thickness. Our roll tool turns your width and length into the roll weight and diameter, so you can plan the lifting and the truck.

Quality & certificates

Standards, tests, documents

Our belts are built to IS 1891 (the Indian standard), DIN 22102 and ISO 14890, with fire resistance tested to ISO 340. Tell us which standard your tender or plant follows and the test certificate will report against it.

Yes. Specimens from the production run are tested in our lab for tensile strength, elongation, abrasion, ply adhesion and full thickness strength, and the test certificate comes with every supply, along with the datasheet.

Yes. You or a third party inspector can witness the measurements and lab tests at our plant in Jalandhar. Book a date with us and we will plan the run around it.

Belt life depends on the material, the loading and how the conveyor is kept, so we state the warranty terms in the quotation for your duty. If a belt gives trouble, send photos and the conveyor details and our engineers will look into the cause with you.

Delivery & export

Dispatch, packing, shipping abroad

Yes. Belts go from our plant in Jalandhar, Punjab to sites across India by road. The quotation can include freight to your site, or you can send your own transporter.

Yes, we export conveyor belts. An export supply comes with the commercial invoice, packing list, test certificate and datasheets, and a certificate of origin when your country asks for one. Tell us the port of delivery and we will quote accordingly.

Each belt is wound into a roll and wrapped against dust and weather, and every roll carries a tag with its designation, width, length and roll number. Ask if your site needs a particular core size or crating for export.

Installation & care

Storage, splicing, tracking, life

Keep the roll indoors, cool and dry, out of direct sun and away from electric motors, welding, oil and solvents. Stand it on its edge or hang it on a bar through the core, never lay it flat on wet ground. If it waits for months, give it a quarter turn now and then so the weight does not settle on one side.

A hot vulcanised splice is the strongest and smoothest, and lasts the longest. Choose it for main lines and high ratings. A cold bonded splice needs no press and suits lighter duties and quick repairs. Mechanical fasteners are fastest to fit and good for short or portable conveyors, but they are weaker and let fines fall through.

The usual causes are idlers or pulleys out of square, material building up on a pulley or return idler, loading off centre, or a splice that was not cut square. Check the structure first, clean the pulleys, centre the loading chute, then use the training idlers. If one section of the belt always runs off at the same point, look at the splice.

Load the material in the direction of travel and in the centre, with the drop kept low. Fit impact idlers under the loading point, keep the skirt rubbers and scrapers adjusted, and do not let spillage build up on the return side. Repair cuts early, before water and dirt get into the fabric.

Yes, free of charge. Send the conveyor length, lift, width, speed, capacity and the material, and we will check the rating, covers and pulley sizes and reply with a datasheet.

Rubber sheets

Thickness, sizes, weight

Rubber sheets from 1 to 12 mm thick for skirting, lining, flooring, gaskets and pads, and PVC sheets. Send the thickness, width, length and the use, and we will quote the right compound.

About 1.37 kg per square metre for every millimetre of thickness, so a 6 mm sheet weighs about 8.2 kg per square metre. The calculator on the sheets page works out the area and weight for your size and number of pieces.
