4 ply conveyor belt

640 specifications · EP and EE fabric · datasheet for each

A 4 ply conveyor belt has 4 layers of woven fabric in its carcass, bonded with skim rubber between the top and bottom covers. The rating is plies × the strength of each ply, so 4 plies build 400, 500, 630, 800 and 1000 kN/m belts.

More plies make a thicker, stiffer carcass that takes impact and holds mechanical fasteners well, and needs larger pulleys: 4 ply belts suit heavily loaded plant conveyors, crushers, cement and steel duty.
